The Black Power movement was effective at addressing the country's social and economic problems. It was also effective at causing the black populations to gain pride in themselves as a whole. The Black Power movement was also involved with the assassinations of its famous leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, and Fred Hampton. The purpose of the Black Power was to end the sight of blacks being viewed as a second rate citizen, and the goals of the Civil Rights Movement were achieved, which won equality for blacks. The Movement shows us how much of an impact one small group of activists can have in a country of millions.
